My work interests and experience span the intersection of law, public policy, politics and the media.
Prior to joining the Canadian Constitution Foundation, a national non-profit charity, as Executive Director and lawyer, Chris Schafer was an associate at Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP in Ottawa, where his practice areas included regulatory law and government relations.
Prior to this, Chris worked at the Fraser Institute in Vancouver, BC and the Cato Institute in Washington, D.C., researching and publishing several public policy studies and articles. Chris also worked for the Research Office of the Official Opposition in Ottawa in the late 1990s.
